Weapon Mods and Misc Homies

I put together a few optional weapon mods today that include a rapid fire rocket launcher, satchel charges nukes, and a Super Tornado that has burst fire rockets, nukes, and 10x the hitpoints.

I also made an optional Misc Homie Pack with some of the second string characters that includes:

* Crazy Salesman – New Vehicle Delivery Service Homie (replaces Legal Lee)
* Shaundi Repair Outfit – Replaces Shaundi
* Carlos Prison Outfit – Replaces Carlos
* The Judge from Gat’s trial – Replaces Jane Valderama
* Mr. Wong’s Translator – Replaces Troy
* Laura (Tobias’ wife) – Replaces Luz
* Richie (Drug Trafficking) – Replaces Zombie Carlos

    Oh my God, the Nuke Chopper is awesome. You should put it in the Volition Shop or something for like $2,000,000 in the vanilla version. It’s just too awesome to be an optional mod.

    By the way, are there any biker NPC’s I can use for cutscenes?

      check the snpc_ files. Those are cutscene characters you could swap out.

      That Tornado is pretty sweet. I had a lot of fun messing around with it yesterday. :)

    The autoRocket launcher is truly epic. It reminds me though, it would be cool if there was a Wolverine plane that auto fired rockets.
    *Sigh* If only there were jets.
    …or jetpacks. If only there was someway to do it.

    Okay, my thoughts are becoming collected. Is there any way to add in a seperate gunstore that sold different stuff? I know they did it with vehicle stores…

      I think it might be possible to do a new gunstore. I’ll look into it and see what I can do. Just so you know, we don’t have any weapon slots left, so I couldn’t add in things like a separate rapid fire rpg or anything without breaking the game. It might be a good idea to put some of the crazy uber weapons though if possible.

      Also, the Wolverine does have alt fire burst rockets! The burst is as fast as I could make it without it crashing the game in coop with both players holding the triggers down continuously.

      I had some ideas to make a functional jetpack, but haven’t had any luck implementing them yet.

      I’m not sure how closely you’ve been following the development of v1.9, but there is a serious issue with available cts trigger coordinates. We are limited to how many triggers we can put in the game before it starts crashing. Cribs take a huge number of coordinate triggers to make work right, so there is really no good way to add additional ones to GotR at this time without sacrificing other features. Sorry.

    Hey Idolninja! A friend of mine was wondering that maybe in a new release we could have a option in the manual creator that would make a non nuclear super Tornado? Thanks!

    Maybe the new cribs could be added as optional, with the tradeoff being that other cribs would then be disabled? The player could choose from a list, enabling and disabling whichever cribs they want, and the mod would check to make sure only the safe number are selected before allowing to proceed with building the custom mod.

      Once a crib is part of a player’s save data, then removing that crib will crash the save for future loads. It’s basically asking for trouble to do that and would cause all sorts of incompatibility problems. Imagine trying to playing coop with someone and having the game screw up your save permanently just by joining the game.
