So, I was messing around with player_creation.xtbl and was able to boost almost every single slider, similar to how the super fat body mod works. Huge coneheads, bug eyes, massive noses are all now possible. I put up a test file if anyone wants to check it out here.
Simply extract it to where you put v1.9 beta 11 in:
..\optional_mod_stuff\1-MODDERS_-_PUT_YOUR_OWN_PERSONAL_MODS_HERE\
^There is likely nothing in that folder yet. It’s where you place your own personal mods before you build your custom patch. That location will be the last place the patch looks for files to build. If you want to get rid of it from GotR, simply remove it from that folder and build again.
You can check out some pics here and here. My buddy Amikron also made a hilarious 3ft troll with it and we had a blast in coop messing around.
The next step is getting these all to work at both extreme ends of the spectrum.
The height mods need a camera tweak as well, otherwise you have to go back out of face mode to see what you’re doing. Also, the skin color thumbnails look glitched except for the selected one. Awesome mod as usual, other than those small problems.
@phexitol
Are you running 1.1 patch level? The skin color ui icons don’t look right under 1.1 but are fine under 1.2 on Steam.
I don’t see anywhere that tells what version I’m running, but it’s on Steam, US version, so it should be 1.2, since I have it set to “always keep this game up to date”.
@phexitol
Hmm… that’s weird. It should look fine then. The multilanguage version will default to your regional language. Are you in the US with windows set to to English? I’m wondering if it may be a problem with the tilesheets for a certain language. If so, could you try setting a startup parameter of forcelang_en and see if the skin colors look ok?
Also, a screenshot would be great.
This is what I’m seeing:

There must be something wrong, because the character is hideous by default, and I’m fairly certain I should have to modify them to make them super-ugly.
I can’t upload a screenshot right now, but I did try the forcelang_en option, and still got the same results.
@phexitol
Sounds like the test horrible slider mod got installed accidentally. What build are you using? I’ll take a look and see if there’s a problem with that.
Also, you can use F12 to take a Steam screenshot in game. Just link me to that.
For some reason, the screenshots won’t show up on my Steam page
Did the screenshot window popup after exiting the game? You have to actually upload your screenshots from there before they appear online.
Had to enable Steam Community. Here’s the screenshot immediately after skipping the beginning cutscene: http://steamcommunity.com/id/phexitol/screenshot/559778048385033714
Ooops, try the one I just uploaded – forgot to have the skin chooser up :/
@phexitol
That is really weird. Does it do the same thing without the ps3 onscreen controls?
Also, I figured out what’s wrong with the batch file for the sliders and why that happened to your character. I’ll be uploading a corrected build tonight with some new stuff and posting a comment here with a link. That should get you all sorted with the character sliders.
I can’t disable any of the mods, so the PS3 onscreen is stuck that way for now.
@phexitol
New beta 12 is up. Give that a try and let me know if you have any problems. I also added a note to my to do list to fix the camera for 3ft tall characters
