Crib Solution!

With a little bit of thinking outside the box I was able to get the new cribs working. It’s not exactly an ideal solution… and they don’t unlock with the story missions as I had hoped… but at least they are all working and just require them to be manually purchased way off the map to hide their icons.

I’ll have some more details to post soon!

So I take it we unlock a teleport to some place we can buy them?

Sort of. I have the purchase triggers setup in the cave on the Volition Secret Island which ends up being off the map. Once you purchase the Ultor Phillips Building crib it will unlock a teleport on the top floor to the island so that you can jump back and forth easily. The first trip is going to be the long way though.

Is there already a release datum of the Beta version??? I can’t wait, I want my yacht and church…

No date yet, but there should be a beta very soon.

Also, it looks like I won’t be able to fit the church in. I ran into another limit with cts coordinates and triggers which causes the game to crash if there are too many defined. I’m trying everything I can to remove any extra cts entries just to make Aisha’s house, yacht, and Phillips building cribs work. There is just no way to fit in another crib.

The limitations in the Saints Row 2 engine are very frustrating for all of us modders, and we often have to unexpectedly scale back our plans to make things work right. I really wish we had the source code for the game to actually fix these things.

Well I hope that Saints Row 3 don’t get the same problems…
