Wild West DLC pack released

Get your old west vibe on with a couple of outfits and two new guns. I am really digging the Man with No Name threads.

Ugly DLCs so far, but that GTAV-GATV tweet of yours is hilarious.

    • Ava says:

I love it. Bought it right away. Wild west style. So awesome. ^^

      • Rita says:

Well, it’s good to know someone supports this blatant moneygrab so they have money for more.

Maybe in-between this bunch of blind consumerism bait we’ll get some good content. That’s the only good thing I can think of all this.

        • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

Well if that’s how you feel then I would recommend watching out for the mission based DLC as we will be able to squeeze a few more hours of game time with it. :-) . I here that enter the dominatrix is supposed to come out early next month so that’s something to look forward to at least.

    It’s SR:TT all over again….

    • HappyCat says:

Pretty much…so much for THQ doing the wrong thing, was them I guess…

      • Squa says:

DLC skins/costumes aren’t anything new or criminal. Plenty of games/companies use them. They’re not bad. If you don’t like the costume, don’t buy it. If you want it, buy it. It’s cheap enough to not be an issue.

        • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

I agree with you Squa. Plus the clothing in the game is rather limited so new clothing items is no problem for me.

          • Ava says:

Rather limited? … Seriously? Well, perhaps compared to Saints Row 2, but I’m pretty sure there aren’t many games out there that have such a wide selection. And Saints Row 2 only had more clothing because you could combinate more clothing on your character.

          • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

You have a VERY good point Ava.

        • Bankie says:

There’s nothing wrong with dlc skins/costumes but when it’s readily apparent that the game itself was just a framework for dlc with actual content being an afterthought, that can be annoying.

Skins/costumes aren’t even worth paying for. Gamers used to make all that themselves and had fun doing it for free.

    • Bankie says:

      Yep yep.

I didn’t think SR could be any more superficial. I was wrong.

      • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

Meh, to each his own I guess.

        • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

I am not sure that you notice that every other game out there today is pretty “superficial”.

          • Ava says:

I bought the DLC and I will buy future DLC’s. It’s only 2,- euro’s where I am. About the same price as two snickers or a small bottle of cola, and you only have fun for like five minutes with a coka or a snickers while you can have longer fun with the DLC clothing packs. AND the people who made these DLC put more work into it then the factory that produces a snickers or a coke, so I really think they deserve those few euro’s more then Coka Cola or Snickers (Wich is practically the same company…). So, I really do not know what everyone is whining about. You all sound like a bunch of cheap bastards to me. xD

          • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

You provide a VERY good point Ava.

          • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

I think I will start viewing DLC’s like you do form now on Ava

  3. DataSnake says:

Are the weapons just new skins for existing ones, or are they actually new guns this time?

  4. ShinRock says:

People complaining because of more content…ok? You like it…you buy it…you don’t like it…don’t buy it. Nobody seems to be complaining that Borderlands 2 is full of DLC’s…

  5. Elvis Saintley says:

Borderlands 2 is a piss poor example to use in this case.

This is a clothing pack, two new outfits, and some other shit.

Borderlands 2 *has full-on new mission packs*.

“more content” is not “a few more outfits and some guns”.

However, at the risk of shitting up Idol’s site whom I do respect, I’ll leave it at this.

    • Jon says:

You’re mistaken, BL2 has tons of DLC packs that are purely costumes. The two games are a fair comparison.

      • Ava says:

Plus, Borderlands 2 is already a bit older. And indeed, the DLC add some new characters and different clothing as well for about the same amount of money. The missions will come for SR4. Just be glad they don’t rush it because people bitch about it. The fact that they didn’t just release the mission packs day one suggest that they are actually putting an effort in to make fun DLC missions. After all, the missions in SR3 were also fun, though a bit short. But what is to be exected from DLC?

        • SuperSaint/BroFist says:

You have some very good points.

          • Ava says:

Thanks. ^^ I do hope the DLC missions will add a few hours to the game, instead of half an hour. Or perhaps a HUGE activity pack, with Sceptic Avenger, no-superpower fightclub, and please please PLEASE bring the street racing back with the cars! I miss those SO MUCH.
