Dubstep gun mod for GTAIV

It’s nowhere near as cool as theĀ  SRIV one, but still pretty neat:

I can’t wait for the upcoming SDK tools that will allow the Saints Row modding community to finally rival the amazing stuff that GTA modding scene puts out.

GTA fans don’t hesitate to bitch about how ridiculous and pathetic Saints Row is, and yet…

I don’t think it’s fair to lump everyone together in categories like that. Many people like both series. Also, a lot of Saints Row fans act the same way that you’re accusing GTA fans of.

      • TT says:

Maybe. I just haven’t run into any GTA fans that weren’t complete idiots.

        • AlexLB says:

Hello TT, I am a GTA fan and a former GTA modder , also I like Saints Row quite much and I am not a complete idiot, so nice to meet you. :)

          • kregg says:

I think what TT is trying to say is that if you look on Facebook or Youtube for Saints Row posts, there’s always that one idiot who will say something along the lines of “This is why I’m buying GTAV” or some stupid trollish remarks.

I know Facebook and Youtube aren’t exactly the pinnacle of calm, rational, and thoughtful discussion but when you are trying to get updates on SRIV and all you meet is the types I’ve mentioned above, it’s no wonder why people end up being lumped together.

I know of course that people are capable of admiring both games, as you’ve demonstrated. At the same time, I can see what TT is saying, although personally I highly disagree.

          • AlexLB says:

Yes Kregg, I got his point and I agree with both of you. :)

          • TT says:

            What kregg said.

I’m one of those people, or was until Rockstar started making life-simulators instead of crime sandbox games. But apparently with most people it’s ether one or the other.

And yeah nice to meet you too.

      • JoneDark says:

Yeah I agree with this. GTA and Saints Row take a common base (urban open world sandbox) and go in completely opposite directions with it. Its fair if someone prefers one to the other, but it’s pretty easy to like both, because one isn’t a “better version” of the other. Can’t wait to play SR4 this month, and also really looking forward to GTAV next month. I love the missions and over the top nature of Saints Row in terms of writing and gameplay, and I also enjoy the job R* does with creating a dense urban environment for GTA games.

You guys have a lot of ground to fill to catch up to the GTA modding scene (aka a complete restoration of Stilwater probably would be the highest).

It’s not your fault because you never had what was necessary to make such big modifications to the game, but now… Now’s the chance this game and its community has been waiting for.

    PS. I don’t even like GTA4.

    • IdolNinja says:

Agreed. The scope of GTA modding is the prize that I have always had my eye on. The SR modding community is very dedicated though to the point of obsession and madness despite the shortcomings of our tools. I can’t wait to see what we can pull off. :)

Wow, their version of the dub step gun is terrible.

  4. Someone says:

So you have finished review and spoilers about Saints Row IV… Oh my god. There’s somewhere. It’s finished, ready to read. But I’m waiting. Oh my god, 3 days left. I can’t wait. What’s happening? HELP ME!

  5. Onetidd says:

Hey i’m a gta 4 modders, and fan but also a saint row fan, till the begining, but i’m wondering if it will be possible to have imported cars like other gta 4 does?
If yes Saint Row will be by far a great modding scene too :)

  6. TT says:

Isn’t IGN great? They masturbated over GTA IV and gave it a 10/10 and now all of a sudden they declare it the most over-rated game of all time…

  7. SuperSaint/BroFist says:

    I know right lol

    just now saw that video.
