He’s right, it’s definitely time travel.

Time travel makes much more sense than that “simulation” thing Zinyak was talking about.

Maybe the old gang are computer generated avatars created, I assume, from the collective memories of the existing gang. Something Kinzie could whip up in her sleep. I would also guess the simulated person not only consists of the positive memories but the negative memories as well. Which could lead to some interesting twists in the game given some of the histories of the old gang.

don’t take it personally, I’m a “I’ll believe it when I see it” kind of person. but what i meant to say is that SR IV’s wacky-ness level already went through the roof simply because aliens are in it…

I’m saying it isn’t all “wacky herp derp aliens woo!” The story is dramatic and treated seriously and the whole concept with the aliens and the simulation is a simply a brilliant way for Volition to introduce a ton of fanservice with characters and events from previous games. It’s actually played pretty straight with some light hearted moments and very different in tone from SRTT. It’s like in SR2 how you could bring your own sense of anarchy into a mostly serious story by, say, wearing a silly outfit during a dramatic cutscene. Same kind of vibe.

Volition totally got it right imo.

I am wondering, will Eliza Dushku voice the other Shaundi again? That would be totally badass.
