Open Notoriety Mod

I figured out an incredibly simple way to remove all notoriety from the open world and added it as an optional mod in GotR. This will be included in the next beta release, and here’s the source if you would like to check it out in the meantime.

    How did you do it?

This gave me an Idea… If modding in a new notoriety level is as easy as it looks, couldn’t I implements a sixth notoriety level? One with super mega hard difficulty? Because honestly the game sort of drones on and gets way too easy

Wow, you can’t look at text files? That must be one ghetto ass tablet. ;)

notoriety.xtbl contains point values for actions. So, you get x amount of notoriety for blowing up the el train, and y amount for shooting a cop, etc. These entries also contain a min_notoriety and max_notoriety setting. These are for stars. So like, shooting a cop has a min_notoriety value of 1. i.e. you get a minimum of one star if you shoot one. All of these values were set to 0.

notoriety_levels.xtbl has settings for each star level. The values changed here are for NotorietyDecayRate. This is how fast you lose notoriety. The levels each had a decay rate between 1-8. I changed them all to 100 which results in an instant loss of notoriety if something happens. This was done because even with all the notoriety.xtbl values set to 0 it would still proc one star when shooting a cop or gang member. The result is that you get one star for shooting a cop and it immediately disappeares back to zero notoriety.
