Looks to be the first in a series of short vids showcasing new stuff like they did for SRTT.
We received reports from players saying that they no longer suffered from the dreaded Saints Row 2 speedup bug after switching from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Minimaul was able to confirm that today as well on his test machine. This is great news for anyone having problems using Powertools or Cheat Engine since they now have a third option to try.
Minimaul is also working on an updated build of Powertools with some fixes and new features. More details on that to come.
Just a couple of minor bugfixes in this release:
Fixed an issue where removing superpowers would not reenable the other weapons
Changed message for final drunken state to match the actual SR2 Brown Baggers commercial.
xFl1PPYx tackles an analysis of the PAX demo footage of SRIV. There’s a lot of interesting stuff that he notices, but I obviously can’t say just how right or wrong he is (hint: a mixture of both.)
My Billboard texture toolkit has been updated to v2 which corrects some of the missing vertical LCD downtown ones on the repack.
I got some news from Deep Silver about the article. The delay has to do with embargos and potentially scooping the regular gaming press on it. You know, marketing stuff. Anyway, you can all expect to read it during E3 this year between June 11-13. This is actually kind of cool since I’ll be able to add more info on other features that have been publicly released.
Twitter has suspended my account for some weird reason. I’ve already confirmed with both Volition and Deep Silver that it wasn’t a copyright complaint or anything along those lines. In fact, Aubrey from DS is going to talk to her contact at Twitter on my behalf which gets her quite a few super cool points in my book.
The 7 minute demo of SRIV that was shown at PAX has finally gone public this morning.
