Here’s a quickie GoS update for the new official patch that adds a build option to restore the original pre-Enter the Dominatrix billboards. Beta 3 also has a few other minor updates and fixes that I had already integrated before development started on the gui version. As always, you can grab the latest release from the Downloads page.

Updated Alt Homies mod with Viola Bloody Cannoness outfit
Fixed an issue with the super fast cars and vtols mod also screwing up the camera for the belgian problem mission. The Death Orb mod and the super fast mod are now mutually exclusive and toggle the other off when selected.
Just a reminder that the new official patch 5 will overwrite any modded one. You will need to rebuild a new GoS patch to use with it. Also, your GoS patch will be missing the new billboard changes, but all mods should still function correctly. I’ll try and get an updated build out sometime today that adds in the new graphics.
Saints Row the Third just updated on Steam. I looked at the beta patch files earlier this week and nothing in the patch should affect any mods; either from GoS or anything from saintsrowmods.com. Please let me know if you run into any problems though.
Also, make sure to look to the skies. The truth is out there.
It looks like there was mistake and Season Pass holders do not get the DLC free. I’m kind of amused that they think anyone would actually spend money on this crap.
The trailer has been released and it’s apparently free to all Season Pass holders and $2.99 for everyone else.
It’s hard for me to imagine anyone paying any kind of money for this, let alone $3. The only interesting thing about it is that the trailer shows you playing as them. I wonder if either they have a clothing outfit designed for the player to “wear” each girl similar to the Cyrus Temple mission, or if they were just made in the character creator. I also secretly hope that maybe there is an npc morph function in the code that we missed similar to SR2.
THQ’s latest financial report reveals a September release date for ETD.
Steam just updated and added subscriptions for four upcoming DLC: Penthouse Pets, Witchers and Wieners Pack, Horror Pack, and the Genki Girl Pack. If Volition releases one DLC a month, this will nicely dovetail into the Fall right before Enter the Dominatrix hits.
There is strangely no sign of the Unlockables pack. This was one of the DLC that was listed in the original leak but we haven’t seen anything else about in any of the base code or patches. I think that either they are saving that one for last or they may have decided not to release it at all. I also find it quite odd that all the included disc based DLC content has been released except that one, and we are now into the new content starting with the Gangs of Steelport pack.
Sneak peek at the new GoS World State tab and all the individual options you can set to be forced on save load.
Here’s a pic of the FOV/Camera tab for the new Gentlemen of Steelport GUI showing how users can now tweak individual settings. The buttons at the bottom will auto configure the settings for that particular mod package. This should make it simple enough for normal users and also give more advanced and granular control for users who want to tweak and adjust.
This is an example of the type of concept I was talking about before when I mentioned how the new GoS will let users merge mods and tweak settings.
